The Beltran Foundation has embarked on a mission to ensure that no deserving student will be deprived of higher education due to unobtainable financial assistance. We aim to attain this goal by furnishing direct financial support to qualifying post-secondary education students in the New York Tri-state area. We also provide continuing support to our scholars, including mentor-ship and information to make financially sound educational choices.
Why are projects like this one so important? The statistics below paint a clear picture.
According to the National Center for Education Statistics, between 2001–02 and 2011–12, prices for undergraduate tuition, room, and board at public institutions rose 40 percent, and prices at private nonprofit institutions rose 28 percent, after adjustment for inflation.
Within this time range, the percentage of first-time, full-time undergraduate students at 4-year degree-granting institutions receiving any financial aid increased from 75 to 85 percent.
These facts emphasize the increasing need of financial aid for post-secondary education.
With college tuition on the rise, it is imperative that new scholarships are created for deserving students. This is where organizations like The Beltran Foundation help fill the gap. You can be a part of the solution!
